This kitchen was a complete overhaul of the former space. Partnering with structural engineers, we cored through the central concrete slab to relocate the sink to the center of the kitchen, opening the wall to the lower level and allowing for a grand white marble island to anchor the space. Side-by-side refrigeration and freezer columns with a built-in pantry, all paneled in walnut with custom polished nickel accents, balance the large island and break up the white perimeter cabinetry. The nearby first floor bath became a jewel box powder room, adding luxe materials such as Bellagio marble, polished nickel and glazed plaster wallcovering.
