In this Edgewater penthouse, the original cherry kitchen functioned well but felt dated and dark. The client asked for a breath of fresh air along with a brighter, culinary inspired space. We answered with classic white Shaker cabinetry, honed quartzite countertops and stainless-steel details reminiscent of finishes found in the kitchens of five-star restaurants. The island footprint was enlarged for ample workspace in the kitchen while an underutilized area nearby was outfitted with a custom banquette, giving the client a much-desired dining room.

An underutilized work space near the kitchen was reimagined into an intimate dining area with a custom banquette upholstered in russet colored linen velvet paired with a solid walnut oval table.

Breathing new life into this kitchen revived it as the heart of the home, a place where bread is broken, memories are made, and hopefully only a few culinary creations are cremated.
